A local construction firm engaged our Waterjet Department to manufacture replacement clock hands for the Albany City Hall clock tower.
We were provided with the original wooden hands and tasked with determining how best to replicate them. After consulting with the architects, contractors, and representatives of the historical society, we developed a plan to reproduce the hands in aluminum—preserving their historic appearance while replacing the deteriorated wood with a more durable material.
The project required precision waterjet cutting, large-scale machining, fabrication, welding, and finishing. The completed clock hands met both structural and aesthetic expectations, and all stakeholders were very pleased with the outcome.
