The horizontal steaming vessel in the Kamyr feed system has an internal screw that carries the chips through and preheats the chips and drives off the air and other noncondensibles.
This is an important factor in maintaining column movement in the digester.
Pictured is our latest steaming vessel formed, waterjet cut, machined, and fabricated in 2205 Duplex Steel by our talented craftsmen from Miller Industrial Manufacturing.
This piece of equipment will be installed by the field crew from Miller Mechanical. This vessel is 29 feet long with an I.D. of 6 feet.
An example of excellence in manufacturing in upstate New York.
