1988
Myles Miller founded Miller Industrial Manufacturing to perform shutdown and general maintenance at pulp and paper mills throughout the United States. Mr. Miller spent more than 30 years as a field superintendent and manager for a major pulp and paper equipment supplier and wanted to run his own company.
1991
Myles Miller purchased the T.J. Kennedy Beverage Distributors and eventually the city owned Glens Falls Coal Company building along with the hanger and adjacent building previous the Glens Falls DPW building.
He renovated all the buildings on the property, eventually transforming the hanger for field services, the Coal Building for offices and small shop for Miller’s Classics (aka The Car Shop).
1998
Myles Miller constructed the second half of the fab shop for the completion of Miller’s first digester built.
2007
Myles Miller passes away and his wife Elizabeth assumed responsibility and continued to grow the company by adding an (2) additional buildings and the eventual purchase of three water jet cutting machines.
2014
In 2014 Doty Machine Works was purchased. Doty Machine Works was one of the largest and most versatile machine shops beginning in 1951. After the purchase two buildings were added along with updated CNC machining capabilities.
2023
Miller Industrial Manufacturing was born as the three divisions of Miller, fabrication, waterjet and machining were rebranded into a new business entity.
The two companies are now able to offer customers everything from engineering to providing the final product. Miller Mechanical Services, Inc is noted as the premier entity for field services in the pulp and paper industry.
2024
Miller Industrial Manufacturing launches a new website to better represent our brand today and into the future.
