Myles’ History

When my late husband Myles formed Miller Mechanical Services 30 years ago, our sole business was performing shutdown services and general maintenance at pulp and paper mills throughout the United States.

Over the years, as our customers’ needs grew, Miller Mechanical grew, too. We expanded our services to include metal fabrication and machining, custom engineering, and water jet and plasma cutting. Our range of customers grew as well. We began serving the chemical, pharmaceutical, construction and power generation industries. In 2014, we purchased Doty Machine Works, one of the largest and most versatile machine shops in the Northeast so that we could offer our customers everything from engineering and design to the manufacture of critical industrial products.

Now, we’re creating a new company — Miller Industrial Manufacturing — to encompass our growing, full-service industrial equipment manufacturing business, our metal fabrication and machining businesses and our water jet and plasma cutting business. Miller Industrial will specialize in the fabrication, machining and construction of components for industrial processes as well as the construction of ASME pressure vessels and storage tanks. Miller Mechanical Services will continue to meet the maintenance needs of our longtime loyal pulp and paper customers.
